Covers measuring methods to be used in order to evaluate the noise temperature and the noise figure of sub-systems, and/or combinations of sub-systems, under linear conditions where appropriate ports are available. The measurements covered are based on the Y-factor method, 3-dB loss method, automatic noise figure meter method and CW method.
