This proposed addendum to Standard 55-2004 imposes a uniform limit on maximum humidity ratio for the comfort zone when using the Graphical Method described in Section 5.2.1.1 of the standard. Note that this restriction does not apply to the Computer Model Method (PMV-PPD) in Section 5.2.1.2, which allows designers access to certain conditions above 0.012 humidity ratio, or to the Adaptive Model, which does not require any humidity limits.
