This standard specifies that structural bearings shall only be transported and installed by experienced specialists. Bearings shall be protected against damage, dirt and non-designed deformation. They shall only be hold, lifted and displaced at the handling attachments. The bearings shall be installed according to a bearing installation drawings. Moreover, this standard specifies the placing of the bearings on the substructure, the application of the superstructure, the installation tolerances and the mortar joints.
