This standard specifies safety requirements and the relevant test methods for protective gloves against chemicals. The glove is intended to protect the hand against contact with highly noxious, noxious, slightly noxious, corrosive or irritating substances, for a prolonged period. As a rule, the protective glove is to be resistant against one test substance only, which does not preclude a resistance to more than one test substances at the same time.
