This standard gives additional recommendations for the preparation of diagrams with respect to be use of symbols for logic elements. Includes in detail: symbols, logic conventions, contents of a logic diagram, layout of a diagram, unused elements, distributed connections, complex logic units, symbols for logic elements, labelling of lines, use of waveforms, tabular information, representation of a pin connection acting at different times as either an input or output, interaction of logic elements and other devices, examples of logic diagrams. Appendices A and B consider commonly used mnemonics and a guide to the meaning, interpretation and selection of logic symbols.
