Supplements the methods determining losses and effeciency given in IEC Publication 34-2 (1972) by the measurement of losses by the calorimetric method. Section 1 completes the existing list of symbols and describes the basic principles. Section 2 relates to measurements with water as the cooling medium and Section 3 deals with the measurements with air as the cooling medium. Section 4 includes practical considerations concerning preparations, connections and equipment for calorimetric measurements with liquid coolants.
