Describes the detail of preparation of wrapped tube test pieces from flexible sheet insulation materials for thermal endurance tests using breakdown voltage as end point criterium. Cut pieces of the flexible sheet materials are wrapped on copper of 15 mm outside diameter and fixed. For testing procedure reference is made to IEC publications 216 and 243.
