This report shall be considered in conjunction with IEC 519-1. Applies, in particular, to: direct arc furnaces; submerged arc furnaces (or arc resistance furnaces). Comprises: the furnace itself, its foundations and structure, its electrical equipment from the low-voltage terminals of the transformer to the electrodes, the operating and control apparatus of the furnace and all other equipment inherent in the utilization of the furnace.
