This SAE Standard covers thirty-two (32) types of clamps most commonly and suitably being used on OEM coolant, fuel, oil, vacuum, and emission systems. This document is compiled for the specific purpose of describing the basic characteristics and minimum performance requirements recommended by the manufacturers. No application recommendations are intended or implied. For the benefit of the user in selecting appropriate products for their application, the committee has published ancillary documents that may assist you in this selection. The documents are SAE J1610, SAE J1697, and TMC RP 332.
