Specifies international requirements for flameproof enclosures for electrical apparatus that is intended for use in explosive gas atmospheres. These requirements are based on the requirements of SABS IEC 79-0 and SABS IEC 79-1. Applies to enclosures and parts of enclosures constructed of metallic and non-metallic materials.
