The specifications apply to the microfilming of all documents prepared by drawing offices. Specified are the procedure for maintaining and checking the quality and reproducibility of microfilms made on black-and-white silver-image film. Specified are also the requirements for the first and second generations and distribution silver copies. Annexes are included for the measurement of the background density, the determination of resolution and contact-printing control.
