This European Standard describes the laboratory mixing of bituminous materials for the manufacture of specimens. The standard specifies the reference installation temperatures for mixing based on the paving grade of the binder. For asphalt mixtures using foamed bitumen or bitumen emulsions, Annex A or A.5.6, respectively, shall be used. Once mixed, mastic asphalt samples shall be prepared in accordance with B.3.
