The standard defines terms of application of X-rays in diagnostics. It is the intention to standardize the multitude of terms. In the first section, the general parts of the equipment are defined. In the second section, a mor or less random selection of the multitude of special X-ray diagnostic procedures and applications has been made. By setting up these standard, a uniformity of the terms used in the medical-radiological literature and in pamphlets or offers made by firms engaged in this fiels is to be obtained.
