Specifies safety requirements applicable to arc plasma heating installations using hand-operated or mechanically-operated torches, e.g. for welding, cutting or spraying. Specifies also general safety requirements for arc plasma installations other than the power supply: the furnace itself, its foundations and structure, cooling circuits, gas supply circuits, electrical equipment from power supply onwards, furnace handling and control gear, and all other equipment associated with the use of the furnace.
