Applies to traction transformers on single-phase a.c. powered vehicles and to the various types of reactors inserted in the main or auxiliary circuits of electric vehicles. Can also be applied, after agreement between user and manufacturer, to the traction transformers of three-phase vehicles and to the transformers inserted in the single-phase or polyphase auxiliary circuits of the vehicles. Deals with service conditions, definitions, cooling, limits of temperature rise, rating plates and tests.
