The product is intended for structural purposes for bolted, riveted or welded structures where particular mechanical properties are required. It is produced on a wide strip mill, not a plate mill, and the product has a thickness of 1.6 to 6 mm inclusive and widths of 600 mm and over, supplied in coils and cut lengths. ISO 4995 does not cover steels intended for boilers or pressure vessels and certain other steels.
