Applicable to ionization chambers and reference and field instruments using these, which are intended for the measurement of exposure, exposure rate or related quantities in electromagnetic radiation. The object of the standard is to establish requirements for a satisfactory level of performance of the devices. The appendices A to D deal with definitions of terms, uncertainties of measurement, calibration laboratory and display symbols.
