Specifies a test procedure to determine the thermal endurance of enamelled round wires in air at atmospheric pressure. Covers only the evaluation of thermal endurance by changes in electric strength. Is not applicable to rectangular or fibre-insulated wires. Sizes found convenient to handle and test are between 0.8 mm and 1.5 mm.
