Specifies a method of assessing molecular orientation in test specimens of amorphous thermoplastic materials by determination of the maximum longitudinal reversion after a specified heat treatment. The length of test pieces is measured before and after a heat treatment 50 °C above the glass transition temperature or the Vicat softening point.
