This standard contains requirements regarding design, operation and safety at powered doors installed in pedestrian areas. Powered pedestrian doors might be used at entrances, in interior locations, in escape routes and emergency exits, and on smoke and fire doors. This standard does not cover assemblies of which the leaves are moved vertically.
