This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method to evaluate the susceptibility of austenitic stainless steels to intergranular corrosion by immersing the test specimen in the boiling copper sulfate-sulfuric acid solution and by subsequent examination of cracks produced by subjecting the specimen to bend test.
