Specifies the general requirements and the installation of instruments for measuring the light obscuration of exhaust gas. These measurements are not intended for: free piston engines, stationary engines, marine engines, engines for rail traction, aircraft, and for agricultural tractors and special vehicles. Annex A describes the determination of the mean exhaust gas temperatur; annex B includes statistical tests.
