Applies to Automatic Transfer Switching Equipment (ATSE) for supply circuits in emergency power systems up to 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c., especially to their characteristics, service performance including behaviour with respect to short-circuit, dielectric properties, and tests. Additional standards have to be met for protective devices of ATSE and for ATSE used for emergency lighting.
