When using this standard, which further elaborates the concept described in ISO 1101, others,such as ISO 2692 and ISO 5459, should be taken into consideration. Formulae for the calculation of tolerances appropriate to making parts are provided. For making this standard more comprehensible, only regular-shaped features have been shown (e. g. cylindrical and square holes, bolts, studs or pins, parallel-sided slots and taps, keys and keysways).
