Deals with the definitions, determination and indication of the characteristics of linear anti-scatter grids in order to reduce the incidence of scattered radiation, produced particularly in the body of the patient, upon the X-ray image reception area and, thus, to improve the contrast of the X-ray pattern. Appendix A describes the reference grid, appendix B contains an index of terms and their definitions and appendix C the calculation method of the application limits.
