Gives definitions and explanations and details type tests, acceptance tests and standard conditions for testing. Covers the selection and preparation of samples, the measurement of dimensions and deals in detail with the mechanical tests, thermal stability, climatic and electrical tests. A schedule of type tests is included in Appendix A.
