The standard describes a method for the determination of the temperature interval in which a resin chages from the solid to the liquid phase. The determination is applicable for the evaluation of natural and synthetic resins for the production of paints, varnishes and similar coating materials with the exception of fossil resins like hard natural copal and amber which are chemical chaged when heated.
