Supersedes the first edition issued in 1970. Deals with testing of single vertical wires or cables and the relevant requirements for compliance. Specifies a method which is not suitable for the testing of some small wires due to the melting of the conductors during the time of application of the flame. Is intended for the type approval testing, and may be referred to in cable standards.
