Relates to fixed capacitors designed essentially for direct current with a rated voltage not exceeding 6300 V. The electrodes of these capacitors are either thin metal foils or thin layers deposited on the dielectric. Establishes uniform requirements for judging the electrical, mechanical and climatic properties of capacitors. Describes test methods and gives recommendations for standard dimensions and classification into categories according to their ability to withstand conditions as specified in IEC Publication 68.
