Covers Nos. 14-4.0 AWG and 250-2000 kcmil sizes of 600-V, single-conductor, thermoplastic-insulated wires and cables for use in accordance with the American National Standard National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70. Deep-well pump cables and other multiple-conductor assemblies to which no type-letter designations are assigned are included in these requirements. This is the third public review for this standard. It was previously listed for public review in the March 27, 1998 and July 3, 1998 issues of Standards Action. It is being resubmitted due to substantive changes in the text.
