Extraction analysis for determining the percentage by mass of matter soluble in boiling water. For most of these raw materials the cold extraction method and the hot extraction method will give different results, and it is therefore essential to state clearly in the test report that this specified method has been used. Dispersing of a test portion in water, heating, cooling, filtration, washing, drying at (105 2) C and weighing of the residue. - Cancels and replaces ISO Recommendation R 787/3-1968.
