Applies to the design and manufacture of welded, simple unfired pressure vessels manufactured in series, with a single compartment. Applies to vessels which are intended to contain air or nitrogen, which are not intended to be fired, and which operate within certain constraints. Does not apply to vessels specifically designed for nuclear use or to fire extinguishers.
