Covers the static verification of the constructional elements of these testing machines. Gives a description of a direct method of checking points on the messuring scala of a beam-type machine by comparison tests on unnotched test pieces. The method may also be used to check the performance of a machine over a period of time. Is not intended as an alternative to complete verification, but will indicate whether this is required.
