Covers the determination of the ignition quality of diesel fuels in terms of cetane number. Specifies the use of apparatus and procedure described in the ASTM Annual Book and Standards, part 47. The cetane number of a fuel is determined by comparing its knocking tendency with those of blends of reference fuels of known octane number under standard operation conditions
