Purpose of tests: a) to obtain results by accelerated testing under controlled conditions comparable to prolonged exposure to natural daylight; b) for control tests on a material of known light resistance to establish that the level of quality of different batches does not vary from a known acceptable control. Use of Xenon arc most advantageous. The annex correlates the effects of exposure to artificial light sources and natural daylight. Part 1 of this standard: natural weathering or exposure to artificial light, part 2: natural weathering.
