1.1 This test method covers procedures for evaluating the interaction ofelectrical insulation components used, or intended to be used, in electricalinsulation systems. 1.2 This test method is useful for determining compatibility but additionaltesting may be required depending upon application. 1.3 This test method may also provide useful information about the behaviorof selected insulating materials when compared to a reference value asopposed to a reference system. 1.4 This test method does not cover systems which operate in liquids orgases other than air. 1.5 The values stated in SI units are the standard in this test method. 1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, ifany, associated with its use.
