Specifies a method for calculation of the limits for the outer diameter of cables and the outer dimensions of flat cords, that does not affect the limits of the types specified in the IEC Publications 227 and 245. Is nevertheless intended for use in preparing any extensions of these publications or any new standards for cables of rated voltages up to 450/ 750 V. Is not applicable to mineral insulated cables.
