1. Scope 1.1 This Standard specifies the electrical characteristics of the generator, receiver and interconnecting leads of a differential signalling (balanced) interchange circuit operating with data signalling rates up to 10 Mbit/s incorporating an optional dc offset. The Standard is applicable only to integrated circuit equipment and does not apply to data communication equipment employing discrete component technology.
