Specifies requirements for valves irrespective of the fluid for which they are designed. Applicable to valves having body seats of 9 mm bore and above, and is for use at pressures above 1 bar up to 250 bar gauge. No limitation is placed on temperature. A figure shows the compression factor as a function of reduced pressure and reduced temperature. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (1979).
