Gives test procedures for the thermal evaluation and classification of insulation systems being comparative in that the performance of a candidate insulation system is compared to that of a reference insulation system with proven service experience. Section 31 shall be used in conjunction with Section 1. Large machines may require special thermal evaluation test procedures.
