Forms Part 3 of the complete standard and should be used in conjunction with Part 1. The tests described, when required by the detail specification, shall be applied to connections, connectors, sockets, switches, capacitors, inductors, resistors and solenoids as specified in Part 1. They may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification.
