Is divided into five clause. Clause 1 specifies general requirements, sampling, test conditions, measurements of cable dimensions, etc. Clause 2 deals with the electrical tests and clause 3 with the test of mechanical strength of completed flexible cables. Clause 4 covers the tests for the mechanical properties of insulation consisting of rubber compound type IE 1 and clause 5 the flame retardance test for lift cables.
