Covers 2 classes flat-pressed particle board suitable for exterior use and as flooring. Non-permissible defects are specified and requirements are laid down for finish, appearance, resistance to fungal and termite attack, extractable (free) formaldehyde content, dimensions, density, moisture content, resistance to thickness swelling, resistance to edge swelling, resistance to weathering, dimensional stability and strength properties. Does not cover particle board in which the particles are aligned, boards that are veneered or otherwise coated or boards for use in acoustic or thermal insulation.
