Applicable to thermistors, insulated or non-insulated, having a resistance temperature characteristic which approximates to a step function. Defines the terminology for the thermistors covered by the standard. Specifies the conditions for approval, acceptance and continuous quality control. Specifies the requirements for electrical and environmental tests. Give information for interpretation of sampling plans and procedures as well as for rules for the preparation of detail specifications.
