Applies to three-phase synchrons machines of 1 KVA rating and larger with rated frequency of not more than 400 Hz and not less than 15 Hz. Forms Part 4 of series of publications dealing with rotating electrical machinery. Replaces the first edition issued in 1967. Establishes methods for determining characteristics quantities of three-phase synchronous machines from tests. Should not be interpreted as requiring the carrying out of any or all of the tests described.
