The models defined in this part provide a conceptual and terminological framework for the other parts of ISO/IEC 9594 which define various aspects of the Directory. Those models are the functional and organizational models, the security model, and the information model. The Annexes A to F describe the mathematics of trees, object identifier usage, information framework in the ASN.1 module, name design criteria, and access control, and give an alphabetical index of definitions.
