This American National Standard contains the technical requirements for Very-high bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) transceiver systems. VDSL transceivers are intended for very-high speed data transmission up to tens of Megabits per seconds over existing copper wires in the telephone access network. As specified in this Standard, VDSL 5 use wireline spectrum up to 12MHz to accommodate both symmetrical and asymmetrical data rates. It can be deployed to ser end-use customers from different points to access network, including Exchange and Cabinet.
