Relates to connectors for low to medium power applications. Explains the type designation and specifies ratings, preferred climatic categories, and dimensions. Describes gauges and standard test connectors. Should be used in conjunction with IEC Publication 169-1 Part 1. Appendix A includes a guidance information for interface dimensions of 75 ohm characteristic impedance general purpose connectors although use of the latter is strongly deprecated. These connectors should only be used for replacement and never in new applications.
